A citizen in that market with a concealed handgun license and carrying a firearm could have quickly stopped these worthless punks.

It just blows my mind how these idiots think that by placing a new bridge on the river will help the traffic at least the WA. gov't are thinking straight, got to love when the new Portland mayor has stated that its more for the income of Portland that he wants to place tolls on the bridge. Where I'm from toll bridges have come and gone, why because the governments there are watched by civil groups, and are taken out when the bridges are paid for, here the gov't aren't watched so I bet the tolls will be there for years and years. Why not tolls then going just south? DUUUU Most people have to return so everyone would have to pay sometime? Not doing all the research, just what you expect from American gov'ts, their way of thinking, simple research, push it through and the public won't have a choice but vote yes or except the new bridge. AHHHHH the waste of money its great to live here and watch my taxes being wasted on research that is going no where.

Yeah, Ugly Elf, I'm with you. Why should I be forced to interact with people who don't look like me, who don't talk like me, who don't think like me, who don't dress like me? Just another way the gobernment is trying to control our lives! Come on people! Dont you see it would be better if we remained isolated from the outside world and only had contact with like-minded individuals? There was never any illegal drug use in this state until them Hispanics came! I have never heard of any God-fearing white male being busted for drugs, violence or other activities that bring down our society!

Hmmm. Seems like a lot of hispanic names in that list. Maybe we should be inquiring if these "men" are legally in this country. Then we should thank Governor Ted in person for helping out the decline of our society and country with his cultural diversity horse hockey. Wake up people!!!

Lowering the drinking age, most likely will have little effect on binge drinking. Students can and seek out alchol when wanted. Drinking is a responsilblity that most 18 year olds still are unable and too immature to handle. It really is the individual character and maturaty level that can make the difference.

premixman - 8/19/2008
Allow 18 year olds to drink if they serve in the military, peform jury duty, or vote. The state DMV could add an endorsement to their drivers license when they perform one of these obligations (such as done with motorcycles and organ donors). Maybe this would make younger people more enthusiastic to perform these civic duties.

This could be easily put to rest if he provided receipts for either purchasing the donated goods or deliverying them. He's a business man and must know that he has to keep receipts for 7 years. Maybe his accountant can find the missing receipts?

Every year, young people die of alcohol poisoning. NO PERSON has EVER died from an overdose of marijuana. Drunks killed half the 41,000 Americans killed in traffic accidents last year. The argument to legalize marijuana is a LOT stronger than lowering the age of legalized lethality called "drinking". Let's legalize marijuana, and keep the drinking age at 21, except for ACTIVE DUTY MEMBERS OF THE MILITARY, who have earned the right to get a little "blasted" on occasion, because they get blasted for their country, not fraternity hazings.

How does this relate to the issues voter care about? Voters "care about" a candidates character. A candidates judgement. A candidates truthfulness. Mike Erickson misses the boat on all of the above. The cuba trip is much more than hearsay. mikes been cought in a lie and is trying to lie his way out of it. This rarely works (i.e. Bill Clinton). If Mike was really the leader he and his supporters claim he is, he should come clean on all of teh accusations against him and run on principle. Otherwise, bow out now and take what you get.
