Graduated Drivers Licensing Workshops and Handbook

Oregon law requires new drivers to learn to drive over a period of two years, to allow them to gradually learn the skill of driving safely. Teens become safer drivers if they can build driving experience over time and develop safe driving habits. Trauma Nurses Talk Tough presents free workshops to help parents use the GDL law effectively when teaching their children safe driving habits.

Helmets can prevent up to 88 per cent of cyclists' brain injuries, as long as they are fitted securely, worn properly and buckled when the rider crashes. However, many helmet users do not secure their helmets level on the head or adjust the straps properly.
