What to expect after the procedure

We'll fit you with a bandage that covers the top of your head. The next morning we'll remove the bandages and check the donor area and the recipient sites, then give you a nice shampoo. If you're from out of town, you may want to spend the night at the Phoenix Inn nearby.

It's best to relax for a day or two, and avoid vigorous aerobic activity for 7-10 days. Otherwise, physical restrictions are minimal.

You’ll have the stitches removed from the donor area about a week after the procedure, either in our clinic or by a doctor in your home town.

The suture line at the donor site heals quickly and becomes nearly undetectable as surrounding hair covers it.

Replaced hair usually falls out in the first month due to transplant shock. Within 3-5 months, it begins to grow, improving steadily for up to a year. After that, it continues to grow for the rest of your life.
