PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- There are new questions about Multnomah County Board Chair Jeff Cogen's treatment of former county health advisor Sonia Manhas.
Cogen admitted earlier this month to having an affair with her.
County documents checked by KOIN 6 News show that about a year ago Cogen made a last-minute addition to her budget, nearly doubling it to about $225,000.
County budget documents show the "Office of Policy and Planning" she was promoted to run would have run out of money otherwise.
Manhas resigned last week. Cogen has refused to set down.
Multnomah County's Attorney General is now investigating Cogen's use of county money.
