3 face robbery, kidnapping charges in Portland

Jody Wafer, Trent Knight, Brittany Kizzee face a number of charges

KOIN 6 News Staff - PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Three people are now in custody on a variety of charges connected with a Southeast Portland robbery Saturday morning.

The Public Storage facility, 1202 SE 82nd Avenue, was robbed around 10:30 a.m. Saturday. The victim told officers that 2 men armed with handguns restrained him and took the keys to the facility. But the victim was able to get free and have someone call 911.

The suspects left the area before police arrived on scene, but officers learned the 2 suspects were inside the Portland International Airport.

Jody Wafer, 28, and 29-year-old Trent Knight were arrested without incident at PDX. A third suspect, 27-year-old Brittany Kizzee, was arrested later.

They're all jailed on federal holds and all face the same charges: 1st- and 2nd-degree robbery and 1st-degree kidnapping.

Wafer, Knight and Kizzee are expected to be arraigned Monday.
