4.7 quake off Oregon coast felt near Lakeport

Epicenter of the quake was not far from the Blanco Fracture Zone

KOIN 6 News Staff - PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A 4.7 earthquake off the Oregon coast was felt on land not far from Lakeport, the US Geological Service reported Friday.

The epicenter of the quake was not far from the Blanco Fracture Zone and the Gorda Ridges. The quake happened at 9:36 a.m.

That epicenter places the quake almost 93 miles from Lakeport, 107 miles from Coos Bay, 150 miles from Rosebug and 207 miles from Salem.

No injuries were reported.
