LAKE OSWEGO, Ore. (KOIN) – A massive water line break shut off water to about 120 homes in Lake Oswego for several hours Friday morning.
According to the city of Lake Oswego, the break was discovered at about 2 a.m. in the 200 block of Cervantes. The road was shut down while crews worked to repair the lines.
Residents in the area could access their homes by using Jefferson Parkway, the city said.
The exact cause of the break was not immediately confirmed.
Because of the break, a Boil Water Advisory is in effect for people who live on Cervantes or Erasmus streets. Officials advised residents to not drink the water without first boiling it.
The Boil Water Advisory will remain in effect until there is no more bacteria present in the water, officials said.
