Man convicted for sexually assaulting 9-year-old

OREGON CITY, Ore. (KOIN) -- A man was found guilty of the sexual assault of a 9-year-old girl that happened in Clackamas County in February 2017.

Isidro Ramos-Flores will be sentenced on Monday on charges of first-degree unlawful sexual penetration, first-degree sexual abuse, attempt to commit a class A felony, burglary and coercion.

On February 26, 2017, the 9-year-old girl was asleep in her bed at the Clackamas Trails Apartments in unincorporated Milwaukie when Ramos-Flores assaulted her. Investigators said the girl described a strange man who came into her room and removed her onsie-style pajamas. She said he was an unshaven Hispanic man wearing a yellow, grey and black striped beanie.

Investigators said they identified Ramos-Flores -- who also uses the names "Felipe Coeto"  and "Santiago Martinez-Flores" -- through physical evidence. In court earlier this week, investigators presented photos from the crime scene that showed a window screen that was removed and fingerprints on the glass.

Ramos-Flores was detained by the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol in April about 15 miles outside San Diego. A Clackamas County detective traveled to California to interview him and begin the process of bringing him back to Oregon.

Ramos-Flores will face a judge again on Feb. 5 for his sentencing.
