PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A fugitive and his girlfriend were arrested Thursday during a weapons and drug investigation in Vancouver.
Police said Safe Streets Task Force detectives arrested Raul Martinez and Virginia Renteria and booked them into the Clark County Jail.
Police said Martinez is a member of the Sureno gang and they believed he was in possession of multiple firearms. A search of his car revealed a sawed off shotgun.
Martinez is charged with possession of a controlled substance -- meth, unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a short barreled shotgun and escaping community custody. He had been out on bail for a December 2017 arrest for unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance with intent.
Renteria is charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and two counters of possession of a controlled substance.
