World Naked Bike Ride sets 2018 date

Over 10,000 turned out last year

PORTLAND, Ore.(KOIN) -- Mark your calendars, Portlanders.

The annual World Naked Bike Ride, an event Portland has participated in since 2004, is scheduled for June 23rd, according to the event's website

Last year, over 10,000 people participated in the bike ride, which started in Fernhill Park. This year's start location isn't known yet.

The website said the bike ride "highlights the vulnerability of cyclists everywhere and decries society’s dependence on pollution-based transport."

The event is free.
