GRESHAM, Ore. (KOIN) -- A shooting at an apartment complex left a 21-year-old man dead and the shooter on the run.
Andreas Prince Jones was shot to death around 7 p.m. at the Rockwood Station Apartments, 19100 E. Burnside Street. A number of people called 911 but responders were not able to save Jones, who died at the scene.
The East County Major Crimes Team was activated and will conduct an investigation. The Gang Enforcement Team also was at the scene, but police said they don't know if the victim had gang ties.
One man who knew the victim remembered him as a good kid.
"He's a good guy, known him for almost a year," said Victor Young. "But he was just ... wow ... 19, 19 or 20 I think it is. Good guy."
