PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A 17-year-old girl was wounded when her neighbor shot her while cleaning his rifle.
Christopher Morris, 52, called police around 7:30 p.m. after the bullet discharged and went through a wall in his unit in the 1200 block of SE 130th Avenue in Portland.
The teen was rushed to a Portland area hospital. Her leg wound is not life-threatening.
The man was taken into custody. The lever-action rifle is being held as evidence.
