PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Police say a 38-year-old woman was arrested Friday after driving onto the MAX tracks in Portland.
Sgt. Pete Simpson says officers responded to calls of a vehicle on the tracks. When they arrived they found a red Datsun pickup truck that had struck a pole in the middle of the tracks at North Russet Street and Interstate Avenue.
Simpson says the driver, Laura Suzanne Klingelhoffer, was booked into the Multnomah County jail on suspicion of drunken driving.
