(KOIN) -- Deputies say a Northeast Oregon man accidentally shot himself in the leg during an argument outside his home Monday night.
The Morrow County Sheriff's Office reports that 67-year-old Venancio Carrillo was chambering a round in his handgun when it discharged outside his Irrigon home. Carrillo had gone outside to investigate what appeared to be a dispute between another resident of his home and a man in a vehicle parked outside.
Venancio was taken by ambulance to Good Shepard Hospital.
The sheriff's office is investigating. No charges have been filed at this time.
Detectives are searching for a 5-month-old boy who was taken by his father during a custody transfer on Nov. 27, 2013.
The 47-year-old man died after the car he was driving crossed from the north lanes to the south on I-205 and hit a pick-up truck. His wife -- ScanCouver on Twitter, at first unaware of his death -- tweeted alerts on the crash.
