VANCOUVER, Wash. (KOIN) --Rescue crews called off a search for a man who a woman saw walk into the water at Wintler Park in Vancouver and floated past the jetty. She lost sight of him and when he didn't resurface, she and her granddaughter called police.
Several dive teams members rushed to the area. A search near Wintler Park and another area upstream on the Columbia River did not found the man.
The witness told KOIN 6 News the man appeared to be in his 60s.
Shortly after 5 p.m., the search was called off.
Since Sept. 1, the burglars have struck Macadam’s Bar & Grill, Thai PK Restaurant, Elephants Delicatessen, the Fulton Pub, Szechuan Chef and Massage Envy.
A 17-year-old girl was also seriously hurt.
Richard Sturm appeared to be in good condition, deputies said.
A gasoline tanker tipped and spilled 3000 gallons on Northeast 18th in Vancouver early Friday morning, re-routing traffic and bringing hazmat crews to the scene.
