HEBRON, Maine (AP) — A full day of events is on tap for the Maine Redneck “Blank” Games in the town of Hebron.
After being forced to change its name, the event formerly known as the Redneck Olympics is holding unorthodox competitions like lawn mower races, mud runs and tire burnouts on Saturday.
One of Friday’s highlights was a demolition derby, with proceeds going to charity. Organizer Harold Brooks said the event also hosted its first “redneck wedding.”
Other events over the weekend include bobbing for pigs’ feet, toilet seat horseshoes and a greased watermelon relay race.
