Ex-WCSO deputy arrested on charges of misconduct

Jonathan Christensen voluntarily turned himself in on Sunday

KOIN 6 News Staff - WASHINGTON CO., Ore. (KOIN) --- A corporal with Washington County Sheriff's Office who was terminated in August is now being charged with several crimes.

Jonathan Christensen was initially placed on administrative leave after the sheriff's office reportedly received an anonymous email accusing him and other employees of misconduct.

While Portland Police Bureau agreed to assist with an independent investigation of the allegations, Christensen was served with a restraining order. He was officially terminated from his position with the sheriff's office in June.

PPB recently finished its investigation and on December 11 Christensen was indicted on charges of coercion, 4 counts of official misconduct, domestic assault and domestic strangulation.

He voluntarily turned himself in on Sunday and was booked into Washington County Jail.
