ODOT removes 13K pounds of machinery after rollover on I-5

Lanes opened at 4:31 p.m.

KOIN 6 News Staff - PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- All lanes of southbound I-5 were closed near Southwest Terwilliger Boulevard after a semi-truck overturned Saturday morning.

The crash happened one mile north of Terwilliger Boulevard. According to officials, the area was closed for several hours. It reopened at 4:31 p.m.

ODOT said crews had to remove 4 pieces of machine shop equipment each weigh around 13,000 pounds before reopening. The machines are used to make plywood and are imported from Germany.

It's unclear if anyone was injured due to this crash.
