PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Oregon lawmakers in the Senate passed a congressional redistricting plan during a special session.

The state got an extra seat in the U.S. House of Representatives after the population increased during the last census.

Ben Gaskins, an associate professor of political science at Lewis and Clark College, joined AM Extra Tuesday to break down what it all means.
