NASA may have discovered first planet outside the Milky Way

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — For the first time ever, NASA may have discovered a new planet outside the Milky Way.

The team spotted the potential planet in a galaxy 28 million light years away.

Jim Todd, the director of space science education at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, joined AM Extra to explain the importance of the discovery, if true.
