Official gives update on Interstate Bridge Replacement Program

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Early discussions are ongoing between Oregon and Washington states over replacing the Interstate 5 bridge.

The bridge is vital for both Portland and Vancouver residents. However, that bridge is over 100 years old and it was not designed to support the needs of today’s transportation system.

Greg Johnson, the administrator for the Interstate Bridge Replacement Program, joined AM Extra to give us an update.
