Sidekick Toys’ vintage glory shines ahead of holiday season

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — With Christmas being about ten weeks away, many people have started their holiday shopping already.

And for those who like to start early, mom and pop shops typically have gems waiting for your picking as opposed to the bargain deals seen at big box stores.

Laura Garifalakis with Sidekick Toys in Mollala joined AM Extra Monday to talk about some of the vintage toys the shop has on hand as well as its new Christmas pop-up store.

Ridwell expands to Portland, collects hard-to-recycle items from your front door

PORTLAND (KOIN) --- Recycling company, Ridwell is making it easier for you to dispose of and repurpose those hard-to-recycle items that city curbside programs don't take, such as styrofoam, thin plastic film, bubble wrap, and those white and blue Amazon packaging envelopes.
