Ditching tobacco for good is often a popular New Year’s resolution for smokers — but like most things, that’s easier said than done. Experts say, if successful, there are many health benefits quitting cigarettes can bring.

Carrie Nyssen, the director of advocacy for the American Lung Association, joined AM Extra with some tips on how to set yourself up for success while attempting to quit.
