PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The shopping season has begun but many charities and non-profits hope people will remember what the holidays are really all about: helping others.
Tuesday is known as Giving Tuesday, a time to raise money for those who need it most. In Oregon, organizers hope to raise $3.9 million for non-profits by the end of the day.
Timber Joey, the Portland Unipiper and others helped kick-off Oregon’s Giving Tuesday event.
