HILLSBORO, Ore. (KOIN) — Despite warnings from the Pentagon, members of the Three Percenters Club of Oregon stood outside the Hillsboro Armed Forces Recruiting Center Wednesday.
The members said they will continue to guard the centers until service members are safe.
Similar actions sprang up across the country in the wake of a shooting at the Chattanooga military recruitment center earlier this month that left 5 service members dead.
The Pentagon, though, said the civilians are creating a bigger security risk.
One member described the “Three Percenters Club” as a group of patriots who “step in” to help protect “constitutional rights.”
