PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — You may have noticed that your Facebook News Feed looks different as of Wednesday morning, CBS Money Watch reports.
That is because Facebook on Wednesday rolled out a new feature changing how users read news in their News Feeds. The new platform, called Instant Articles, brings news to the News Feed in a more accessible way, by making articles load faster for publishers who have subscribed to the service.
Facebook says that in the past, articles loaded slowly. The Instant Articles should load faster and in a more interactive and customizable fashion.
So far, Facebook has partnered with NY Times, National Geographic, BuzzFeed, NBC News, The Atlantic, The Guardian, BBC News, Spiegel Online and Bild to feed articles into the Instant Articles feed.
Interested users must ‘Like’ the Instant Articles page.
