‘Miss Saigon’ comes to Portland Nov. 5-10


The musical is the tragic story of a doomed romance

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The beloved musical that tells the story of a young Vietnamese woman who falls in love with an American soldier during the war is coming to Portland.

Kim spends three years searching for Chris after they are separated when Saigon falls. The story is of the three years Kim spends trying to reunite with Chris along with their son, who he doesn’t know exists.

The Broadway revival of “Miss Saigon” came more than 28 years after the original production was a hit. It has been performed in 32 counties, more than 350 cities and in 15 different languages.

Performances at the Keller Auditorium are Nov. 5-9 at 7:30 p.m., Nov. 9 at 2 p.m., and Nov. 10 at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m.

“Miss Saigon” is recommended for audiences ages 14 and older.
