According to an April 2019 Gallup poll, Americans are among the most stressed people in the world. That stress can often be made worse in tense situations or complicated surroundings.
Since his father passed away when he was 16, Stuart Perrin has been on a quest to find his own inner peace. Now, as an American spiritual master of Kundalini Yoga, Perrin shares his journey and the lessons he has learned through his writing.
Perrin has started meditation centers for the hungry and the homeless, prisoners and recovering addicts. Along the way he has written more than a half-dozen books aimed at helping people relieve stress and find their own inner peace.
For this week’s Writers’ Bloc podcast, Jenny Hansson chats with Perrin about his newest book, From Darkness to Light, his work in correctional facilities and why everyone has to work hard to relax.
