Writer’s Bloc Podcast: William Ritter

Author, University of Oregon Alum and current high school teacher William Ritter likes to tell good tales, some tall, about his life.

His own website lists his birthplace as “unreliable and varied” and his hometown as a “series of mysterious Catacombs in Malta or a nondescript town in Oregon.”

Ritter’s creative flare comes across in page after page of his novels and sticks to his readers who have made him a New York Times best-selling author.

For this week’s Writer’s Bloc podcast, Jenny Hansson talks to Ritter about his successful “Jackaby” series for young adult readers, how Sherlock Holmes impacted his writing and how he draws inspiration from his own life for his works of fiction.
