PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – As traffic fatalities rise to levels not seen in decades, We Save Lives‘ second annual National Passenger Safety Awareness Week is underway.

The campaign hopes to mobilize passengers to speak up when they’re with someone who is driving dangerously whether they’re impaired, distracted or just being aggressive on the road.

We Save Lives Founder Candace Lightner joined Everyday Northwest to share more.
