Editor’s Note: A previous version of this story reported that the child arrest was associated with the previously reported email bomb threat against Hazelbrook MS last week. The story has been updated with clarification from the Tualatin-Tigard school district.

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Police have made a child arrest following an investigation into a threat made to Hazelbrook Middle School last month.

On the evening of Sept. 28, Tualatin police say they began investigating a shooting threat that had been made via Snapchat. This threat was separate from the emailed bomb threat made to the school the following morning, which caused the school to evacuate.

Details of the Snapchat threat are limited, but authorities say a petition has been filed with the Juvenile Court for disorderly conduct and telephonic harassment.

Meanwhile, the email threat made on Sept. 29 remains under investigation with the FBI.
