MILWAUKIE, Ore. (KOIN) — More e-scooters are hitting the streets — this time in Milwaukie.

Lime announced on Thursday that 75 e-scooters will be placed in several neighborhoods on Friday, including Historic Milwaukie, Lake Road, Milwaukie Business Industrial and Hector Campbell.

The scooters will be in the city for a 5-month pilot program.

Test rides will be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. across the street from Milwaukie City Hall.

Milwaukie joins Portland in welcoming e-scooters to the city as a sustainable mode of transportation.

Portland recently started its second e-scooter pilot program and has nearly 2,000 scooters on its streets. The pilot program will last until April 2020.
