PORTLAND, Ore (KOIN) — A body recovered from the Washougal River earlier this week was identified as Stephan Barnaby on Friday.

Barnaby went missing on May 4 after being swept away by a fast current while floating the river with a friend.

The Clark County Medical Examiners Office confirmed that the death was caused by drowning.

Barnaby was 31-years-old.
