New photos released in unsolved Vancouver burglary

Clark County

The suspect has not been identified

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Clark County authorities have released new information about a burglary that happened earlier this month, as they continue to look for the suspect who got away.

On October 13, Vancouver Police responded to a report of a robbery on NE 18th St. They arrived around midnight and found a man inside the store. As officers were setting up a perimeter around the outside, the garage bay door opened and out drove the suspect in a stolen Range Rover SUV, nearly hitting an officer as he drove away. The officer fired a shot in the process.

Officers chased the car, but later found it abandoned near East 5th Street and South Blandford Drive. A K9 was also unable to further track the suspect.

On Friday, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office said that evidence collected during the investigation indicated that the suspect came to the scene of the burglary on a stolen bike. Authorities released new photos taken from the store’s security camera. The Clark County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit is still attempting to identify the suspect pictured.

He is suspected of committing multiple crimes, including assault, burglary, theft, and running from police. If you recognize this person, call police.
