PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The driver of a Cadillac died making a left turn when a BMW collided with it, Vancouver police said.

The crash happened at SE 164th and 12th around 5 p.m. Sunday. The 2015 BMW hit the 1995 Cadillac and pushed it into a traffic pole.

Investigators said it appears the Cadillac driver, 81-year-old Don L. Cox of Washougal, was turning on a red arrow when the BMW hit the Cadillac.

The BMW’s driver and passenger were taken to a nearby hospital and are expected to recover.
