PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A 17-year-old boy was rushed to a hospital with serious injuries after a 2-car crash in Battle Ground on Monday morning.

A 53-year-old woman ran through a stop at the NE 199th Street intersection and collided with the teenager’s car, according to witnesses at the scene.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office said witnesses saw the woman, Tania Kohlman, try to leave the scene. She allegedly did not cooperate with the deputy at first and the deputy saw signs of possible impairment.

When EMS arrived, they found the boy unconscious and severely injured. The woman was conscious and alert.

Kohlman was taken to the hospital for observation and a blood test but has not been charged.
