VANCOUVER, Wash. (KOIN) — The private water supply at a senior living facility created a bit of a problem for Vancouver firefighters when fire broke out late Monday night.

Crews arrived at Fair Oaks Estates, 5404 NE 121st Avenue, and saw heavy smoke coming from the house, the Vancouver Fire Department said. Firefighters cut through a fence separating Fair Oaks from One Lake Place condominiums and used their hydrant to put the fire out.

No one was hurt, but one person and a dog were displaced by the fire. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
