Ceiling falls inside Portland Art Museum

Engineers said there are no structural safety issues

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Part of the ceiling inside the Kridel Grand Ballroom in the Portland Art Museum fell Tuesday, but no one was in the room when it happened.

Engineers are looking at it to figure out why it fell but they said there are no structural safety issues.

Officials with the Portland Art Museum are working to accommodate people who have events planned in the ballroom.
