PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The family of a man who died at the Oregon Zoo while attending a concert is suing for $5.4 million in damages.

Carl Stanley Ross was found dead in a construction site on August 12 — two days after a George Clinton Parliament Funkadelic concert.

The lawsuit names Metro, the band, contractor Lease Crutcher Lewis and 25 John Does — people from various agencies involved — as defendants the family blames for Ross’s death.

The family claims the defendants caused his death by failing to maintain safe conditions.
