PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A house burglar remains at large after pepper-spraying homeowners and stealing “several dozens” of new Nike shoes.
The suspect robbed a house in the 1700 block of Northwest 21st Terrace by climbing on the roof and crawling through an upstairs window. He found the homeowners hiding in their bedroom before pepper-spraying them, then took off with Nike apparel and shoes.
He fled the scene in a 10-foot U-Haul truck.
Police believe the suspect may be attempting to sell the shoes. He’s described as skinny and approximately 6-foot tall. He’s believed to be between 20 and 30-years-old.
A $2,500 cash reward is being offered by Crime Stoppers of Oregon for any information leading to an arrest. Make an anonymous tip online or call 503.823.4357.
