PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — While Portland Police are continuing their investigation into the death of a 3-week-old baby, they said there is no indication of foul play.
An autopsy will be conducted by the Medical Examiner’s Office to determine cause and manner of death.
The infant died after being rushed to Randall Children’s Hospital Friday, prompting an investigation by the Portland Police Child Abuse Team, the medical examiner and the Department of Human Services.
Police were called to a residence on NE Flanders Street around 9:20 a.m., authorities said. Responders performed CPR on the infant, who was pronounced dead at the hospital.
