TriMet said trains will ride smoother

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — After a 2-week improvement project, MAX trains are back in regular service through the Rose Quarter.

The Lloyd MAX Improvement Project upgraded the area near the Rose Quarter MAX Station and on Holladay between NW 9th and 11th, TriMet officials said Sunday. The improvements, they said, will help the trains stay on time, make the ride smoother and “increase system resiliency.”

Sections of the rail were replaced and the switching system was upgraded.
