PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Digital marketing company Logical Position unloaded school supplies on Wednesday morning for the Boys and Girls Club.
The company’s nearly 300 employees collected the supplies during the summer in support of a mission to help kids reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens.
While the school year has already started, supplies are something that are needed year-round.
“Markers go bad, pencils run out, so we decided to collect a wide variety of stuff and the Boys and Girls Club can distribute it how they best feel the need — whether that’s here at the local chapter or giving kids supplies when they go to school, so they have supplies that they need,” Adam Schwartz, culture operations specialist at Logical Position, said.
Logical Position collected supplies at its six other locations throughout the country.
Boys and Girls Club helps kids make better use of their time after school until it’s time for them to go home.
Some of the donated supplies will be used at the Portland area centers while some will be given to kids who need them for school.
