PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The MAX blue line is back to regular service in Gresham after a two-week improvement project.

The 2.3-mile stretch of track and stations between Rockwood/E 188th Avenue and Cleveland Avenue reopened on October 6. The project improved some of the oldest parts of the MAX line.

Monday’s commute will be back to normal and service will be smoother and more reliable, according to TriMet.

Officials said MAX riders aren’t the only ones with a smoother ride. People in cars and bicyclists will notice a more even surface where tracks meet the road.
