Occupants, dog safe after East Portland house fire

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Portland Fire & Rescue crews snuffed out a house fire at SE 23rd Avenue and Yamhill Street in East Portland Saturday night, extinguishing it in five minutes, officials Tweeted Saturday.

All occupants were found safely outside the house. One person is being evaluated for minor injuries. Crews also found one dog safe in the house.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
