PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A heavy police presence gathered in Southeast Portland on Wednesday in connection with an armed robbery that happened at a Fred Meyer in Oregon City, police confirmed.
Portland Police, as well as Clackamas County deputies, were also on scene. According to the City of Portland’s Bureau of Emergency Communications, at one point there were 22 police units either en route or on scene. A K-9 unit was also on scene, according to BOEC.
Many streets in the area were closed during the investigation.
Neighbors spoke to KOIN 6 News about the situation, saying a suspect’s car was parked in a residence’s driveway.

Police started clearing the scene after 2 p.m. after it appears they found no suspect inside the home. A tow truck came to remove the vehicle that was in a residence’s roadway.
