PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — It’s been a foggy week in the Portland area and Wednesday will be no different.
Commuters can expect more widespread visibility issues Wednesday morning before an easterly flow pumps the fog out by the afternoon.
A fog advisory is in effect until 11 a.m. and an air stagnation advisory is still in place until 4 p.m.
When driving in fog, one of the most important things to do is make sure your vehicle is visible to others on the road. That means low-beam headlights or fog lights but never high beams. High beams cause a glare that makes it harder for you to see.
Also, slow down and keep your distance from the car in front of you.
