PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — What do you get when you combine a semi, an Oregon coast beach and a sneaker wave? Trouble.
Around noon Tuesday, this cab for a semi truck got stuck on the beach at Sunset State Park Beach Approach north of Gearhart, Jay Pitman told KOIN 6 News.
Pitman, who is part of the Shore Patrol, said they got a call by a local tow company to handle the semi stuck on the beach. Pitman and another man went to the beach and were able to tow the truck to safety.
The semi’s driver said he tested the sand and got out to take a photo when the sneaker wave hit, causing the tires to sink into the sand.
No one was hurt.
