Activist Micah Rhodes found guilty of sex abuse

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Micah Rhodes, known in Portland for his work with the activist group Portland’s Resistance, has been convicted of sex abuse. 

A Washington County jury on Thursday found Rhodes guilty of one count of 2nd-degree sex abuse. Court records show the victim was a minor when she had sexual contact with Rhodes. 

He also faced allegations of sexual abuse in Multnomah County for having sex with a minor. He pleaded not guilty to 4 counts of 2nd-degree sexual abuse and one county 3rd-degree sexual abuse. 

His next court date for that case is March 12. 

Rhodes was also convicted of first-degree sodomy and sexual abuse when he was a juvenile and was ordered to register as a sex offender. 

Rhodes will be back in court for sentencing on May 24.
