PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The bomb squad was called into the Bethany station of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Monday after what looked like a suspicious package was delivered.

The building on NW Bethany Boulevard was put on lock-down after someone dropped a package off around 1:30 p.m.

The person the package was addressed to was not expecting anything in the mail. The Sheriff’s Office also said that the package was addressed in a “weird” manner.

To err on the side of caution, the building was evacuated and the bomb squad called in.

That’s when it was discovered that the package was actually a gift, containing a coffee mug.
